Google 重組了！集團改名「Alphabet」

Google於美國10日開市時段，在blog宣佈了一個大突破，成立新控股公司Alphabet， 來統整集團各項事業，Google就成為旗下的子公司 。

Google投資者的持股將自動轉換為Alphabet股票，權益維持不變。股票代號仍維持為 GOOGL 與 GOOG。聲明發佈數小時後，Google在受此消息刺激下，股價亦上升了5%。

未來的管理架構：

• Google創辦人Larry Page 成為 Alphabet 的CEO
  
   
• 另一創辦人Sergey Brin 則成為Alphabet 的President
  
   
• Eric Schmidt成為Alphabet 的executive chairman

Google創辦人Larry Page 更在聲明信中寫到：

We did a lot of things that seemed crazy at the time. Many of those crazy things now have over a billion users, like Google Maps, YouTube, Chrome, and Android.

 

And we haven’t stopped there. We are still trying to do things other people think are crazy but we are super excited about.

我們做過很多在當時看起來很瘋狂的事，這些瘋狂的事業如今都擁有10億以上用戶，如Google Maps, YouTube, Chrome, 和 Android. 

而我們不會在這裡停下腳步，我們會繼續嘗試這些其他人認為瘋狂，但對我們來說興奮的事。

期待Alphabet會為我們帶來一些新的改變吧，正如Google創辦人Larry Page所說的一樣，

Google is not a conventional company. We do not intend to become one.

Google並不是遵循常規的公司，我們亦不打算要成為那樣的公司。
